ERDF A way of making Europe/EU\"))\n)", "Description": "The analysis of conflicting claims arises when an amount\nhas to be divided among a set of agents with claims that exceed\nwhat is available. A rule is a way of selecting a division\namong the claimants. This package computes the main rules\nintroduced in the literature from ancient times to the present.\nThe inventory of rules covers the proportional and the adjusted\nproportional rules, the constrained equal awards and the\nconstrained equal losses rules, the constrained egalitarian,\nthe Piniles’ and the minimal overlap rules, the random arrival\nand the Talmud rules. Besides, the Dominguez and Thomson and\nthe average-of-awards rules are also included. All of them can\nbe found in the book by W. Thomson (2019), How to divide when\nthere isn't enough. From Aristotle, the Talmud, and Maimonides\nto the axiomatics of resource allocation', except for the\naverage-of-awards rule, introduced by Mirás Calvo et al.\n(2022), . In addition,\ngraphical diagrams allow the user to represent, among others,\nthe set of awards, the paths of awards, the schedules of awards\nof a rule, and some indexes. A good understanding of the\nsimilarities and differences between the rules is useful for\nbetter decision-making.
